We hiked to the highest point on the Samana Peninsula. It is about 1900 feet above sea level. There are fantastic views of the Atlantic, all the north coast beaches including Ermitano, Limon, Las Terrenas. You can also see the Samana Bay and Playa Rinco.n. It was a somewhat difficult hike because of the sun all day and the elevation gain of about 900 feet through a lot of muddy and rocky trails.
