We hiked to the highest point on the Samaná Peninsula. It is about 1900 feet above sea level. There are fantastic views of the Atlantic, all the north coast beaches including Ermitano, El Limon and Las Terrenas. You can also see the Samaná Bay and Playa Rincon. It was a somewhat difficult hike because of the sun and the elevation gain of about 900 feet through a lot of muddy and rocky trails.
